Dr. Marcos Montoya, DDS, D.ABDSM
Dr. Montoya was born and raised in Glenview, IL, where his early years were marked by both academic excellence and athletic achievement. At Loyola Academy High School, he distinguished himself as an All-State student athlete in Ice Hockey and Rowing, demonstrating a dedication to discipline and teamwork that would shape his future endeavors. Inspired by his family’s legacy in medicine, Dr. Montoya pursued rigorous academic training, graduating with honors from the University of Illinois at Champaign in 2008 with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He continued his educational journey at the University of Illinois at Chicago, earning his doctor of dental surgery in 2012.
As a first-generation Cuban American, Dr. Montoya grew up surrounded by accomplished medical professionals, including his mother, an internist (Northwestern Medicine); his father, a cardiac thoracic surgeon (Loyola Medicine); and his aunt, a general dentist (UIC). Being raised in such an environment fueled his curiosity for science and instilled a deep appreciation for compassionate care. This immersion in healthcare inspired him to carve out his own path in dental medicine, blending his family’s commitment to healing with his personal interests.
Today, Dr. Montoya treats his patients with a comprehensive approach, emphasizing the importance of considering nutrition, pain management, and sleep when addressing oral health. “When treating diseases pertaining to the mouth, we must consider the entire person,” he explains. He holds Diplomate Status with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, treating patients for sleep-related breathing disorders. He firmly believes that a healthy nutrition plan coupled with consistent sleep patterns enables the body’s tremendous healing capacity. His clinical specialties also include complex cosmetic dental rehabilitations and ‘all-on-x’ dental restorations for terminal dentitions. “Nothing gives me greater joy in dentistry than allowing a patient to smile with confidence and knowing it will last.”
Beyond his professional life, Dr. Montoya’s passion for ice hockey reflects his commitment to teamwork and perseverance. He’s been playing goalie since age five, securing two high school state titles with Loyola Academy and a national championship with the University of Illinois Fighting Illini in 2005. His brother, AL, played in the NHL for nine regular seasons, retiring in 2018 with the Edmonton Oilers. Dr. Montoya still plays men’s league hockey every week and loves coaching his daughters, Sofia and Olivia.
Dr. Montoya is married to Magali, a talented wedding hair stylist. Together, they cherish time spent with their two beautiful girls and enjoy family life outside the dental office.
Dr. Rares Raibulet, DMD
Dr. Rares Raibulet is passionate about helping patients rediscover comfort, confidence, and joy in their smiles through comprehensive dental care. For patients facing complex dental challenges, Dr. Raibulet provides thoughtful, personalized treatment designed to restore not just teeth, but quality of life.
Dr. Raibulet’s approach is grounded in countless hours of advanced continuing education and mentorship. This includes training with principles developed by Dr. Frank Spear, advanced occlusion and comprehensive care through The Dawson Academy, and restorative protocols established by Dr. Strupp and Brumm.
Dr. Raibulet has also completed the prestigious MaxiCourse through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, advanced full-arch restorative training with Dr. Wade Pilling, and the DentalXP Implant Fellowship. This extensive education reflects a deep commitment to providing patients with predictable, research-based, and carefully executed care.
To ensure the highest level of quality and artistry, Dr. Raibulet works exclusively with a master ceramist. This close collaboration allows each restoration to be custom-crafted with exceptional precision, fit, and beauty—so patients can smile, speak, and eat with confidence.
Beyond the practice, Dr. Raibulet values spending quality time with his family. His wife and their two daughters remain a constant source of inspiration and balance. Dr. Kristine Guliana, DMD
Dr. Kristine Guliana completed her doctor of dental medicine degree (DMD) at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, where her education provided a strong foundation in comprehensive dental care. She provides a wide range of services, including fillings, crowns, implants, and clear aligners, and is known for her attention to detail and compassionate approach to treatment.
Dr. Guliana is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care and places a strong emphasis on patient education, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their oral health. Her commitment to clinical excellence is demonstrated through ongoing participation in continuing education courses, ensuring she remains current with the latest advancements in dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Guliana enjoys spending time outdoors, running, traveling, and creating lasting memories with her family. She resides in Lincolnwood with her husband and their three daughters.
